8-Week Mindfulness Meditation Course
Are you suffering from stress or feeling anxious, then this mindfulness-based stillness meditation course is for you!
Mindfulness is defined as paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgementally.
Learn how to get out of the Challenge/Threat/Task mode of living and be in a Growth/Healing/Digestive mode.
You'll enjoy the deep relaxation guided meditations as well as learning about the two aspects of the mind - the thinking mind and the passive/aware mind. You'll also discover the antidotes for excessive thinking.
There are so many benefits to practicing Mindfulness meditation in both the formal and informal context.
During this 8-week course you'll learn how to practice Mindfulness of Breath, Mindfulness of body awareness, Mindfulness of Emotions or Centring practice, Mindfulness of thoughts and Stillness, and finally the complete Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation practice.
This course will give you the knowledge and understanding to practice Mindfulness meditation better and more beneficially than ever before. So it's suitable for both beginners and more experienced meditators alike.
Your teacher and facilitator is Christine Convery, a master meditation teacher, with over 20 years experience in teaching all forms of meditation and being a holistic healer. You can read more about Christine on the 'About us' page of this website.
The venue, 'Wild Learning' along Wollombi Road in Cessnock, is a warm and welcoming place for all.
On Wednesday 1st May, from 12.30 to 1.30pm, we'll be holding our Mindfulness Meditation course Registration Day, where you can check the venue out and have a chat to Christine and Emmie. There'll be a cuppa to enjoy and some fun meditation activities on offer, like mandala colouring or using one of the finger labyrinths available on the day.
Emmie WiIdflowers organizes and runs many wonderful programs at 'Wild Learning' and I'm sure you'll enjoy a chat with her.
This course will run for 8 weeks during Term 2, on Wednesdays, from 12.30 to 2.30 pm with a short break for a cuppa.
Dates are May 8, 15, 22 and 29; June 5, 19 and 26; July 3.
Fees: $35 per week OR $150 if paid in full upfront (a saving of $25 over the remaining 5 weeks of this term)
You can pay your up front fee on this website, or pay each week.
For each Wednesday class you'll need to bring your water bottle, towel, a blanket/throw, small pillow, and your yoga mat.
If you don't have a yoga mat, you'll be given a new one. Even if you have your own, you'll still receive a new one.
